The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 covered down upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
