Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
