1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Then, are we not to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
