Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 2 There are signs in the heavens and the earth for those who believe: 3 and in your creation, and in the crawling things that He has scattered far and near, there are signs for a nation whose belief is certain, 4 As there are signs in the alternation of night and day, and in rain that God sends with which He revives the earth once dead, as there are in the changing of the winds, for people who can understand. 5 These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. In what kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe? 6 Woe to all the guilty impostors! 7 He hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. Give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesome suffering awaits them. 10 This is guidance; and (as for) those who disbelieve in the communications of their Lord, they shall have a painful punishment on account of uncleanness. 11
