The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
