Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 Goblets set, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
