The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
