The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures;- 1 He whose is the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and who hath not taken a son, and for whom there is not an associate in the dominion, and who hath created everything, and measured it according to a measurement. 2 Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again. 3 Those who have rejected the Message of the Prophet, say, "This (Al-Furgan) is a forgery which this man himself has devised, and some others have helped him at it. " What a cruel injustice and an impudent lie! 4 And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." 5 Say: 'He sent it down, who knows the secret in the heavens and earth; He is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.' 6 They also say: 'How is it that this Messenger eats food and walks about the markets? Why has no angel been sent down with him to warn us? 7 Or, wherefore is not there cast down unto him a treasure or he has a garden whereof he may eat! And the wrong-doers say: ye follow only a man bewitched. 8 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) see how they invent examples for you – they have therefore gone astray, unable find a road. 9
