By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
