In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
