a good many of olden times, 39 and a throng of the later folk. 40 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 41 In scorching wind and scalding water 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor refreshing. 44 Before they lived at ease, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 "(We) and our fathers of old?" 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 “They will all be gathered together on the appointed time of the known day.” 50 Then you, the erring ones and those that gave the lie to the Truth, 51 you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit, 52 filling your bellies with it; 53 and drink boiling water on top of that, 54 lapping it down like thirsty camels.' 55 That will be their entertainment on the Day of Recompense! 56 We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? 57 So what is your opinion regarding the semen you discharge? 58 Create him ye, or are We the Creator? 59 It is We Who ordained death upon you and We are not to be frustrated. 60 that We may exchange the likes of you, and make you to grow again in a fashion you know not. 61 And [since] you are indeed aware of the [miracle of your] coming into being in the first instance - why, then, do you not bethink yourselves [of Us]? 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause? 64 If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin to lament: 65 That, “We have indeed been penalised!” 66 "Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)" 67 Have you considered the water that you drink? 68 Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 Have you seen the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who grew its tree, or is it We Who create? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
تشير بداية ونهاية كل سورة الى السور المنزلة قبلها و بعدها. يمكنك الضغط على أي منها للذهاب إليها.
The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there.
اضغط المثلثات الصغيرة في أعلى الإطار وأسفله إلى اليسار لعرض فهرس السور، حيث يمكنك الانتقال إلى أي سورة أو أية صفحة بداخلها.
Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the right to display the Surah Table of Contents, where you can go to any Surah or any page within.
