It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. 11 He harnessed the day and night for you, as also the sun, the moon and the stars, by His command. In this are signs for men who understand. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 The stars and other signs also help people to find their way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and the Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knoweth that which ye keep hidden and that which ye proclaim. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised. 21
