The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it. 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
