The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
