Al-Najm 3 of 3
Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
