Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
