The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
