In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, He shall render their works ineffective. 1 And those who accepted faith and did good deeds and believed in what has been sent down upon Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) – and that is the truth from their Lord – Allah has relieved them of some of their evils and refined their condition. 2 This is because the unbelievers follow falsehood while the believers follow the truth from their Lord. As such Allah sets forth for people their examples. 3 Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain. 4 He will guide them and improve their state, 5 And admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them. 6 O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. 7 As to those who disbelieve, perdition lies in store for them and Allah has reduced their works to nought. 8 That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; so He let their works go to waste. 9 ۞ Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah. 10 that is because Allah is the Guardian of the believers, and the unbelievers have no guardian. 11
