The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
