The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 But save him who fears 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
