The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
