And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will say: 'Our Lord, give those who brought this upon us double the punishment of the Fire' 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
