Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
