The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
