The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky has split [open] 1 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 and he shall return to his people, joyfully, 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 he shall call for destruction 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 They lived among their people joyfully 13 he surely thought he would never revert. 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And the night and all it gathers, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 Except those who believe and do the right: For them there is reward unending. 25
