And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
