Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say before: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
