Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles, presently they shall come to know. 70 When around their necks will be shackles and chains; they will be dragged. – 71 Through boiling waters; then they are thrust into the Fire. 72 They will then be asked: "Where are they you took as partners 73 They shall say, 'They have gone astray from us; nay, but it was nothing at all that we called upon aforetime.' Even so God leads astray the unbelievers. 74 (They will be told): “This is because while you were on earth you took delight in untruth and exulted in it. 75 Enter ye the gates of hell, to dwell therein. Evil is the habitation of the scornful. 76 So be patient [Prophet], for God's promise is true: whether We show you part of what We have promised them in this life, or cause you to die first, it is to Us that they will be recalled. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
