And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
