Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
