Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ When the sky is split, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
