The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 So, they belied, but surely the tidings of that they mocked will come to them. 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 9
