3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
