Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
