T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
