The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
