Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or say they: he hath fabricated it: aye they will not believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from the sky they would say: 'A massed cloud' 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
