The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
