Alshu'araa' 11 of 11
This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
