Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
