Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
