The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
