The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen*; these are verses of the Qur’an and the clear Book. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- 2 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. 3 As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction. 4 It is they whom the worst of suffering awaits: for it is they, they who in the life to come shall be the greatest losers! 5 And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. 6 (Remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his household: "Verily! I have seen a fire, I will bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand, that you may warm yourselves." 7 When he came up to it, a voice called out, "Blessed be whoever is near this fire, and whoever is around it! Glory be to God, Lord of the Universe! 8 Moses, I am God, the Majestic and All-wise. 9 Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness; a sign among the nine signs towards Firaun and his people; they are indeed a lawless nation.” 12 When Our miracles were visibly shown to them, they said, "It is plain magic". 13 And they persisted in rejecting them wrongfully and arrogantly, while in their hearts they were convinced of their truth. Observe, then, how evil was the fate of the evil-doers. 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
