Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
