▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
