By the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until the certainty of death had come upon us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
