The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
