The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

Read the entire Holy Quran in full color, where pages randomly generate their colors and shapes so that the same scheme never repeats twice.
