The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
