Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 as black camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
